Week six of the 2025 NFL season

Real-time updates includes text commentary of the weekend matchups on multiple platforms, starting with the Broncos-Jets clash at Tottenham (kicking off at 2 PM BST). Also, audio coverage can be heard on designated networks for a separate game (from 21:00 BST).

It's week six in the football calendar , after last week's discussion regarding two top teams being a potential Super Bowl match-up, each surrendered their perfect starts.

Notable in those games was the amount of penalties both conceded. Philadelphia did so in key moments meaning they essentially defeated themselves having led by two touchdowns entering the final quarter versus the Denver Broncos, who play in London this weekend.

But it proved good to see that Denver's QB the rookie managed to overcome the shortfall before lead three scoring drives on three possessions during the final period, securing the game by four points.

The Broncos boast the defensive player of the year in cornerback Pat Surtain II. They are first in red zone defence, whereas Philadelphia are number one in scoring near the end zone, and Denver prevailed in that contest.

They executed the Eagles' number in terms of disguised blitzes. They weren't necessarily rushing extra pass rushers but they could position two linebackers in the 'A' gap before drop them out and send a nickel from the outside.

At the start in the campaign, we said during a show that the Broncos might emerge as this season's dark horses. They finished last season strongly and did a good job in continuing that momentum.

Are the Denver Broncos this season's underdog story?

New tight end their tight end has excelled significantly and new RB JK Dobbins is a player they believe in. He's currently 5th in the NFL in ground gains (over 400) and tied for fourth for rushing touchdowns (4).

I love that the coach Sean Payton has "RUN IT!" prominently of his playcall sheet.

This demonstrates that Denver represent a team that wants to run first, because one can do a lot based on that approach. It slows opposing rushes and maintains in positive down and distances.

This has benefited quarterback the young passer, who entered into the league as the 12th overall draft pick in the prior draft, passing for 29 TDs – just behind Justin Herbert for the rookie record (31 in 2020).

Other elite QBs possess the arm strength to pass anywhere, but they don't move the mobility as Nix. He has exceptional passing ability, which is different, and he is so athletic.

His strengths include his mobility, being able to throw while moving, as well as finding varied release points to deliver the pass as he moves outside protection, the bootlegs. He can throw precision throws over the middle and over the corner.

For a young quarterback, at 25, he displays a lot of composure under pressure and is not really fazed by extra rushers. He aims to evade a sack as much as possible and can pass in tight spots. He has a high football IQ and is very decisive.

When you constantly run the ball it eats up time and makes the opponent to stay in play extended periods, and if you've got a mobile QB the defense must cover the area downfield and horizontally. It can be exhausting.

The quarterback has bitten back with the coach on the sideline sometimes and it seems Payton appreciates that attitude, that he's such a competitor. In my view it's fun for the coach to have a young quarterback that is similar to moldable clay. He can really build something up how he wants to shape him. I believe it's a special experience for him.

The head coach has won a championship and now surpassed Bill Parcells in all-time victories (173 - tied 14th overall). He has witnessed it all. In my opinion the achievements Denver are having on offence is largely due to his leadership, his play-calling, his situational awareness – and the pairing with the QB aids make him into who he is.

You wouldn't want a better guy guiding you, to assist you during difficult moments and build self-belief.

I believe in Denver's defence, in the QB's grit and calm. Yet are they good enough to face a top squad at its best? Since that wasn't a Super Bowl performance from Philadelphia in their last game.

Right now, I don't think Denver are elite. They're performing better than most, that's a good place to be in their division. The key to do to continue this path.

They excel at leaning into their forte, that is the ground game, and this is exactly what they should do against the New York Jets in London. It's going to be the JK Dobbins show, essentially.

New York have allowed 140 yards on the ground each contest (among the worst), five ground scores so far (10th worst), and they're the sole squad without a win any game.

Since the NFL started recording takeaways in 1933, the Jets are the inaugural squad to be without a single takeaway through five games, this is surprising when you think that their new coach was previously defensive co-ordinator with another team.

The Chiefs' QB stated the Chiefs have 'already lost too many games' following a recent loss by the Jaguars.

Following the upcoming matchup, Denver face a smooth-ish schedule until their break (in week twelve) - the Giants, the Cowboys, Houston Texans and Las Vegas Raiders before the Chiefs.

In the AFC West, Kansas City are 2-3 and the Broncos are tied with the Chargers at 3-2 meaning they could challenge for the top of the West.

It depends on what version Kansas City shows up they face because the Broncos {beat|def
