Star Rejects Anti-Vaxxer Views After Narrating Disputed Covid Film

The "Taken" star has provided his vocal talents to a recent film that challenges the safety of vaccinations and lauds former cabinet secretary Robert F Kennedy Jr.

The Documentary's Contentious Foundation

Titled "Plague of Corruption," the documentary is based on a well-known publication co-authored by Judy Mikovits, who rose to infamy during the pandemic for allegations that Covid was caused by a bad strain of the seasonal immunization.

Her collaborator, Kent Heckenlively, has also written books with far-right radio host a known commentator. The producer took to social media praising Neeson's involvement in the documentary.

A Firm Denial

A spokesperson for Neeson have released a statement pushing back against claims that he supports anti-immunization beliefs.

"We all recognize that unethical practices might be present within the pharmaceutical industry, but that should never be equated to rejection of vaccines," the response reads. "He has never been, and is not, anti-vaccination. His considerable work with Unicef reinforces his long-held support for global immunisation initiatives."

The response noted that the performer did not shape the documentary's editorial content and that questions about its claims are best addressed to the filmmakers.

Major Claims Featured in the Film

According to the documentary, the script provided by Neeson includes several provocative points:

  • It suggests that pro-immunization voices have insisted on "complete compliance" to public institutions.
  • It declares that "medical science has become deeply influenced by politics."
  • Kennedy is interviewed saying, "The major issue with vaccines is that they are not adequately tested."
  • It further attacks Covid lockdowns, saying they caused psychological harm that resulted in thousands of lives.
  • On the topic of pandemic shots, it references a perspective that they were "hurriedly approved" and seen as "risky trials."

Historical Context and Recent Debates

It also references a past television report about HIV drug testing on children, which was subsequently the subject of a formal apology by the corporation for editorial breaches.

Last month, RFK Jr called on the CDC to change its long-held position that there is no link between vaccines and autism spectrum disorder. This assertion is echoed in the film, despite a fresh analysis from the WHO stating no connection has been found.

An Earlier Record of Advocacy

Standing in contrast to the documentary's narrative, Neeson has formerly shown firm endorsement for vaccines in his capacity as a Unicef global ambassador.

In 2022, he called vaccines as "an incredible achievement," stating that "The conversation about vaccines in lately has overlooked how much positive impact they have done... It is perhaps one of the biggest collective achievements in human history."

"Plague of Corruption" finishes with Neeson's script stating, "This marks not the end of our journey. It is the beginning of a new chapter."
