The midfielder Set-pieces on corner kicks and free kicks created chances. Was given license to move on the left yet found himself offside upon receiving with a chance to score. Granted a deserved substitution around the 60-minute point. 6/10

Jude Bellingham Played in a high spot on the right and also put in dirty work. Demonstrated glimpses of brilliance and mishit a shot wide. Substituted towards the end for a teammate, a fellow player, following a yellow card. 7/10

The winger Had England’s best chance of the first half, his strike excellently kept out by the opposing goalkeeper. As Quansah staying deep, he had to offer an outlet on the right yet his deliveries from wide areas were inconsistent. Taken off with 15 to go. 6

The captain The decisive figure scoring two more strikes in an England shirt. The first a classic poacher’s finish while the second a superb headed goal after peeling away from his marker.
