Oscar-Nominated Star Diane Ladd, Celebrated For Her Performance in Alice Doesn’t Live Here Anymore, Has Died at 89 Years Old.

The actor, with credits featured National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, died at her home in California’s Ojai. This announcement was shared through a message shared by her child, award-winning actress Laura Dern, her daughter.

Laura Dern, who appeared with her mother in a number of films like Wild at Heart and Rambling Rose, referred to her as “my amazing hero plus my special gift of a mother”, stating that she was by her side as she died.

“She was the greatest grandmother, mother, daughter, star, artist as well as compassionate soul that only dreams could have seemingly created,” she expressed. “We were fortunate to know her. She is flying with her angels now.”
